About Sasja

I first came to the mat in 2004, initially as a way of forcing myself to stretch muscles that were chronically tight from non-stop running and cycling I was doing as an endurance athlete. I could see my toes, but touching them seemed like a hopeless fantasy!

Power Yoga was my first love – its intensity lit me on fire and yet softened my edges at the same time. When I moved to Kamloops two years ago, I discovered Anusara Yoga and my whole experience of what I thought yoga was shifted. Now not only was my body transforming, but my mind and heart were as well. I love that yoga increases my sensitivity to everything around me and how it makes me feel more alive and accepting of each moment. Yoga is what grounds and reconnects me to my intentions both on and off the mat. I am stronger, brighter, calmer, and yes, more flexible and open in my body than I’ve ever been!

My intent as a teacher is to inspire people to find their center, accept what is and open up to the joy that is readily available to them. I love seeing students use their bodies in new ways with strength, flexibility and grace.

Off the mat, I am also a teacher, facilitator, and presenter who strives to help individuals and organizations find their center and grow into their potential through my work in leadership and team development, health and well-being, and work-life harmony. You can learn more at www.newquestcc.com

I invite you to come sweat, flow and laugh with me; to breathe, pause and celebrate; to mindfully come to your edge and play. I invite you to make your life a more yogaful one!
