You get from life what you bring to it

That might seem like an obvious statement, but is it? How often do we bemoan our lack of flexibility, strength or fitness but yet don’t take the time or effort to develop it? How often are we critical of our life or work circumstances and yet fault external forces without looking at how we can change ourselves?

Yoga is not just about stretching; it’s about consciousness. It’s about how we choose to live our life. We can’t necessarily choose our circumstances, our history, our genetics, but we have every means of deciding what attitude to take, of how we want to think, speak, act in this moment and how we want to be in all future ones. We have the ability to impact our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health in countless positive ways. It all begins with a conscious choice.
